What are the differences of shipping Greyhound instead of DHL or FedEx?
From our experience shipping with greyhound is very reliable. We take your hood down to the local Greyhound station. It gets put on a bus that will be traveling to your destination. It goes to the closest station to where you live, once it arrives they will call you and you will have to go and pick it up from the station. Advantages are that it costs about half the amount of DHL or FedEx, and is very reliable. The disadvantages are that there isn’t a guaranteed date of arrival, and there is no tracking number.
What is Thrasher?
The thrasher hood is just a different material. It’s not lexan its ABS plastic, which is still very durable but different then lexan. It only comes in black, its not transparent, and its flat not glossy, it also has a slight texture to it. Thrasher is very similar to the belly pan on most sleds. It is actually just about 1 lb lighter then our lexan hoods. If you want to see a picture, go to this link, http://www.brtechracing.com/DetailsList.cfm?ID=POL INDY.
Its main use is a beater hood that you just want to have to protect your engine and so you have a hood on your sled. Or it could just be a quick cheap replacement hood if you are a very aggressive rider. The downfalls are that it is very hard to paint and put decals on because if the material and the texture on it.
Are the hoods and vents cut out already?
All hoods come stock as fully uncut most need the body line cut out and the vents, windshield slots and headlight all are uncut. We can cut all or only a few things depending on the personal preference of the customer. Some customers like the body line uncut so they can add height to the hood to make room for big pipes and such so it is all up to you what if anything you want cut out by us. Review our Hood Cutting page.
